296 - Ruth
God bless you abundantly, in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It seems like I read Ruth every couple of years. I love the story of Ruth. I've always loved how the Believers love and encourage one another. How Boaz and his servants whenever they met each other blessed each other with the words of God. They would say things like may God bless you abundantly.
But this time when I read the book of Ruth I saw something that I don't know if I have ever seen before. That is it is very important the group of people that we hang out with. Naomi when she was in Moab got very negative. Even to the point of thinking that God had forsaken her and that answers to pray no longer would work for her. Leaving her without God. We all know this is not true. God is always there to help us when we call for help. She was so negative but by the time we get to the end of these four short chapters we see that she is blessed again. It's all because of the people she started to hang around with. They wanted to bless her with what they said. There's got to be a lesson there for us.
