301 - The right way of Believing, The right manner of Love, and The Hope

God bless you abundantly, in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In this week's podcast, we looked at believing, love, and hope as we read in KJV 1st Thessalonians 1:3 “Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;”

Some translations like Walter Cummins, Working Translation, and Young's Literal Translation both have the article 'the' in fount or before the words faith which is the Greek word 'pistis' meaning believing, and in front of love and hope should be translated like this.

Remember your work of the right way of believing and your hard work of the right manner of love and your patience of the right hope in our Lord Jesus Christ before our God and Father.

When reading this verse and looking at others verses from first and second Thessalonians that use these words, believing, love, and hope we saw that these three words sometimes were used very closely together. This little words study of these three words in the first two books which God had Paul write has some valuable lessons for us.

Podcast listeners, You are invited to zoom in to a live recording of our podcast on June 5th. We will be celebrating the Christian holiday of Pentecost. We meet Sunday Mornings at 10:30 AM EST. All you need to do is click on the website (https://stevejaynes.com/zoom-dial-in) and click into the meeting.

We are a listener-supported podcast. I want to thank those who generously give so we can keep the podcast available. The podcast is heard around the world by those who want to know how to accurately understand the Bible when they read it.

We believe the Bible is the revealed Word and will of God. The Bible means what it says and says what it means. We let the Word of God speak for itself by using keys and principles on how the Bible interprets itself. By being 100% listener-supported we do not sell any part of the podcast. The podcast is for only those who are entirely in favor of letting the Word of God speak for itself. If you would like to support the podcast you can simply go to the website: stevejaynes.com. On the top of every page, there's a donate button. I would like to give some special gifts to those who meet a minimal donation. The gifts can be seen on the top of the Biblical Studies Books Page.
